TeleMed Announces "Assured Messaging" Interface

Atlanta – TeleMed is pleased to announce the release of Assured Messaging capability to all customers using text-reply capable devices including most mobile telephones. Assured messaging delivers instant verification directly to the original sender, ensuring the receipt of any text message. This is accomplished utilizing existing wireless email technology built into most mobile telephones, PDA's (personal digital assistants) and two-way pagers.
When a message is received, the user simply initiates a predefined wireless email directly to the TeleMed call center via their built-in keypad. Once this email is received, normally within seconds, the original message is confirmed and marked as closed.
Until now, TeleMed supervisors would manually follow up on messages sent, by calling patients, hospitals or physicians to ensure response. With Assured Messaging, this labor intensive and sometimes intrusive method is eliminated, delivering greater accuracy and efficiency.

Release of MyTeleMed™ Web Interface

TeleMed recently introduced its new customer account web interface, MyTeleMed™ (www.mytelemed.com). This secure new web portal gives office staff and physicians complete access to their TeleMed account features. After logging on using secure password verification, customers can edit settings and reports previously available only to TeleMed staff.
With easy to navigate controls, customers can view messages, post and edit on-call schedules, make temporary changes, modify locations and much more. Changes made to the account are real-time, making this a valuable tool for busy practices. The site is protected utilizing secure socket layer encryption security applications and is accessible 24/7 through a standard dial-up Internet connection.
